How in the world did a pepper that size escape my notice! Well, he did. There was also a smaller one that I didn't notice until I started taking pictures.
I was really surprised that the pepper plants even produced fruit. The plants were very sickly in the beginning and lost a lot of their leaves and were very yellow. They started to get bigger, but the flowers kept falling off. They were just an experiment really.
Overall, I am happy with the deck garden. I think I could've bought better tomato plants and gotten a better yield, but for a first go round, not bad. I'm learning and will buy really nice plants next year and have more tomatoes.
